Games to Do at a Birthday Party Sleepover for Teenagers

Silhouette Games

• Hang a large white sheet from the ceiling to the floor with enough room for a person to stand behind. Shine a bright light on the sheet so you can see a person̵7;s shadow on the sheet when they stand behind it. One player must stand in front of the sheet while all other players go behind the sheet. One at a time each person must come up to the sheet creating a shadow and the player guessing has to guess the player behind the sheet. The player who guesses the most correct shadows wins the game. Alternatively, play this game in teams and the team who guesses the most shadows correctly win the game.

Contests

• Have a pillowcase or nightgown decorating contest. Give each player a pillowcase or long T-shirt. They can use puff paints, glitter pens, fabric markers, stencils, rhinestones, marabou and sequins to decorate the items. Tell the contestants they have 20 minutes to decorate the items. After 20 minutes, have everyone show off the creations. Award prizes to the best, funniest, scariest and most creative creations. The contestants also get to take home their crafts as mementos of the sleepover party.

Volleyball Games

• Play a few games of indoor foot volleyball by hanging a string across the room to create the net. Players must use an inflated balloon as the volleyball and can only use their feet to play. They must serve and hit the ball using only their feet. The first team to 15 points wins the game. Make a glow-in-the-dark game by using glow-in-the-dark necklaces to create the net and a glow-in-the-dark balloon as the volleyball. Turn all the lights and the first team to score 15 wins the game.

Fashion Games

• Divide the players into groups of three or four and give each team 50 sheet of colored tissue paper. When you say ̶0;Go,̶1; they must design an outfit for one player on their team using the tissue paper. You can also give the teams tape if preferred. For girls, they can create items like a skirt, dress, hair accessories, jewelry and shirts. Boy can make tuxedo-type shirts, tank tops, shorts and hats. Award prizes for the most creative, weirdest and best dressed. Alternatively, use aluminum foil and plastic wrap instead of tissue paper.
