Hangman
Hangman is a game that has been played for many years, with the idea of the game being to guess a word given by a non-competing player. For the game you need a piece of paper or a drawing board and a pen. You indicate how many letters there are in the word and invite players to guess them. For every wrong answer you draw a section of gallows to build up to the hangman's noose. If the player answers so many wrong answers that you complete the drawing of the hangman, then they lose.
Who Am I?
In the Who Am I game, every player writes down the name of a character, for example a movie star, on a sticky piece of paper. This sticky piece of paper is then attached to the forehead of another player without them seeing the character. Players may then ask a series of questions to find out who they are. For example: "Am I an American actor?" You take turns asking questions about who you are, with the winner of the game being the person to guess who she is first.
I Spy
I Spy is a great game for kids on long car journeys. The player who is not competing says, "I spy with my little eye, something beginning with..." and then designates a letter. The other players must guess what he is referring to, with the winner being the person to guess first.
Name the Song
Another good road trip game, this game can be played anywhere where you have a stereo, or with people who can sing well. You can either play the game by scrolling between the radio stations, or by hitting the shuffle button on the CD or MP3 player. The winner of the game is the first person to guess what the track is and the artist who sang it.
