Things You'll Need
Instructions
Strip 1/2 inch of shielding from the ends of the two wires coming from the battery harness and the buzzer.
Connect one wire from the battery's wiring harness to one wire from the buzzer and cover it with a layer of electrical tape.
Cut two lengths of wire, about 6 inches long, and strip 1/2 inch of shielding from each end of each wire.
Connect the end of one piece of wire to the other of the two wires protruding from the buzzer and the other end to one of the two terminals on the push button switch. Cover all exposed wire with a layer of electrical tape.
Connect one end of the second wire to the other of the two terminals on the push-button switch and the other end of the wire to the remaining wire protruding from the battery's harness. Cover any exposed wiring with a layer of electrical tape.
Mount the push-button switch to the outside of a ring that fits the wearer's middle finger using some cyanoacrylate glue. Mount the button so that the push-button switch is facing away from the ring and finger and not interfering with the two terminals on the push-button switch.
Place the ring on the middle finger of the wearer, then load the battery into the harness and tape the battery, buzzer and wiring to the wearer's wrist, hidden under their sleeve using some medical tape. When the wearer shakes hands with someone else, the button will be pressed and the circuit will close, sounding the buzzer. This device will only sound the buzzer and will not shock or vibrate the hand of the unsuspecting victim, making it very safe, suitable for use with children.
