Obstacle Course
Create a superhero obstacle course using items you can find right at home. The children can run through old tires, jump over or crawl under ropes, run around cones and ride bicycles a certain distance. Tell the guests to pretend they are Batman running through the course. Time each child and the child with the fastest time wins the race. If you have enough supplies, make two identical courses and have children compete at the same time. Alternatively, divide the players into two teams and the team with the fastest time wins the game.
Contests
Allow the 5-year-olds a chance to show off their artistic skills and creativity with contests. Give the children construction paper, tape, paint, markers, cardboard and Batman stickers to make a Batman plane. Award prizes to the best, most creative and silliest planes. For added fun, take the planes outside for the children to ̶0;fly.̶1; Award a prize to the child who creates the plane that travels the farthest distance. Another idea is a Batman drawing contest. See which party guest can freehand the best picture of Batman.
Hunts
Print several Batman emblems on sheets of paper and hide the emblems around the party area. Have the guests try to find as many emblems as they can. The player who finds the most wins a prize. For added prizes, write the word ̶0;Batman̶1; on some of the pictures. The children who find those pictures also win a small prize. Alternatively, hide small plastic bats around the party area for the children to hunt. Draw a Batman emblem on the bats for added fun. Plastic toy bats are available online and at many toy stores.
Relay Races
Hide several dolls around the party area, preferably, outside where the children have room to run. Divide the children into two teams and have each team line up at a starting line. Give the first player in each team line a Batman cape. When you say ̶0;Go,̶1; they must put on the capes and run to rescue a person. They must bring the doll back and hand the cape to the next player in line who must do the same thing. The first team to finish wins the game. If you do not have enough dolls, simply print pictures of people to hide.
