How to Make a Pin the Arrow on Cupid Game

Pin the Arrow on Cupid is the Valentine's Day equivalent of Pin the Tail on the Donkey. Rather than pinning a tail, players pin an arrow to the traditional cupid character related to the February holiday. Use the game the next time you throw a Valentine's Day party with kids or even adults. The rules are the same as the traditional game and the person who pins his arrow as close to its proper place wins.

Instructions

    • 1

Draw a large cupid shape onto a piece of poster board in a color of your choosing. Or, visit a local retailer around Valentine's Day and purchase a cardboard cupid decoration. Add details to the cupid decoration by drawing in features. Outline in black marker where the arrow needs to be placed to make it easy for everyone to see.

    • 2

Trace the arrows first from the outline you made on the cupid onto a thinner sheet of paper. Cut this outline out and use it as a template for the rest of your arrow shapes. Create several arrow shapes out of poster board. You want as many arrow shapes as you have people playing the game. Use a different colored poster board than your cupid to help differentiate the arrows better.

    • 3

Write a different number on each arrow in a black marker. This will make it easier to know whose arrow is closest during the duration of the game.
