Religious Games and Activities for Adult Women

If you are having a get together with some of your female friends from church, you can plan religious activities to make the party fun and keep it focused on faith. Many party games can be adapted to include religious themes and historical figures. The games and activities can also be used as ice breakers if you invite women from different social circles to your gathering.
  1. Bible Charades

    • Put a twist on a popular party game and play charades using biblical phrases, book titles and songs. Divide the group into two teams and have each team come up with clues and place them in a bowl. The teams then switch bowls and take turns choosing a clue from the bowl and trying to guess the clue. The player who acts out the clue cannot talk at all; they must act out the clue using hand gestures. The team that guesses the phrase on the piece of paper with the least amount of clues wins.

    Anagram Game

    • Another popular game that you could put a religious twist on is the anagram game. Choose a word having to do with the your faith, such as "Rosh Hashanah" if you are Jewish, and have each player write down as many words as possible that she can make using the letters in the provided word. The player with the most words in her list wins. This game could be modified for any religion by choosing phrases connected to that religion.

    Bible Husbands and Wives Game

    • Your female guests will have a great time trying to match the husbands and wives from the Bible. Create a list of 20 or 30 famous men from the Bible. At the top of the list, put a list of the names of the wives of these men. Divide the group up into two teams and see who can match the biblical couples the fastest. If you want to use Bibles, you can add the Bible passages where the couples are named next to the husbands' names.

    15 Minutes of Fame Game

    • In this game, the name of a well known woman from the Bible is placed on each woman's back. Each person gets to go around asking yes or no questions to try to figure out what name is on her back. You are only allowed to ask each person one question when trying to discover the name on your back.
