Set-up
When setting up your dunk tank it is important to choose a good location to prevent any safety issues from occurring. Choose a spot that is level and is not near any electricity. The spot should be in an open area where you won't have to worry about anything getting hit when balls are being thrown. When filling your dunk tank be sure to keep the water at least 8 inches from the top of the tank. Push the trigger to test the seat before allowing anyone to sit on it.
Dunkee
The person being dunked, or the dunkee, should wear tennis shoes to prevent slipping and should sit forward on the seat with hands on their knees. The dunkee should be familiar with how the seat works and how to reset it after being dunked. They should also swim forward after being dunked to prevent hitting their head on the seat. The dunkee should never try and stand on the seat.
During Play
Allow only one person at a time in the dunking booth. Use the balls that are provided with the booth and never use baseballs or other hard balls. The trigger or target should never be hit with hands or punched repeatedly. Keep sharp objects out of the dunk tank and never allow horseplay to occur in or near the booth.
Other Precautions
Always drain the water out of the dunking booth when not in use and never leave children unattended around the booth. Keep all non-swimmers and children out of the booth at all times. Also be sure that the dunkee and others participating in the dunking booth are not under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
