How to Play Truth or Dare Over the Phone

"Truth or Dare" is a popular game among teens and preteens. Often played at parties or slumber parties, Truth or Dare is played by one player asking another: "Truth or dare?" If the player answers "truth," he must answer any question honestly. This of course can allow for some very personal questions. If the player responds with "dare," he must complete any dare decided on by the other player. Truth or Dare is more difficult to play over the phone but it can be done.

Use the conference call or three-way calling feature on a phone to allow more people to play. You can play Truth or Dare with just two people, but that's more like friends just sharing secrets. By adding more players, even over the phone, you increase the fun.

    • 2

Encourage participants to answer with truth. Answering a question, however embarrassing, is much easier by phone than getting someone to complete a dare. As a bonus, the answerer doesn't have to worry about blushing in front of the other players.

Choose dares that can be completed over the phone. For example, you might make them repeat a sentence, talk in a funny voice or use a separate phone (on speaker so everyone can hear) to make an embarrassing phone call.
