How to Play the Spit it Out Tongue Twister Game

Spit it Out is played in teams of two or more players. Each team takes turns taking a Challenge Card from the box. Team members have 30 seconds to say a word or complete an action. One point is scored for each correct word or action that is identified by other team players. Pieces are moved around the board by the number scored.

Divide the teams into two or more players. Give each team a cone and a disk of the same color. All cones are placed on the Start Arrow on the Main Track. Disks are placed on the Start Circle of the Disk Track. Decide on a number of Disk Track segments to be played. Six track segments is the average number for a 1-2 hour game.

Decide which team will go first and assign a Starter. The Starter than draws a challenge card and reads the challenge to all the teams. The opposing team up-ends the timer. The Starter says the first word or performs the first action to start the round. Then team members take turns performing the challenge. For every correct action or word, the team gets one point. It is the opposing team's job to point out incorrect words or actions. In a challenge, players cannot repeat any previously said words or actions, speak or act out of order, and help anyone who is stuck. If any of these rules are breached, the turn is over.

Move the numbered you scored. At the end of the turn, the team moves its cone on the Main Track the number of spaces corresponding to their score. If the cone lands on a + or -, the team must spin the spinner. The cone is then moved further forward (+) or backward (-) by the number the spinner points to. If the cone lands on an A, the team takes another turn with the same spinner and a new challenge card. Each team is allowed only one bonus +,- or A per turn.
