Mall Scavenger Hunt
Send your teens to the mall to collect funny pictures. Divide the kids into two or more groups. Set a time limit and give them a list of things to photograph. The list can include silly things such as someone wearing a pair of bunny slippers, modeling a feather boa, posing in hats, the entire team wearing sunglasses, wearing the funniest hat and/or a poster of a movie star. The group returning with the funniest pictures of the items on the list wins.
Riddle Scavenger Hunt
Provide a list of riddles to the team members. They will need to complete the riddle and take a picture of or collect the item. "Rhymes with coaster and makes breakfast food,"or "It's like seeing a picture of myself, only backward," and "Plastic or glass I hold your drink," will lead to collecting a toaster, mirror and cup.
Nighttime Neighborhood Scavenger Hunt
Send scavenger hunt teams to the neighbors to collect household items. The team returning the fastest with all of the items on the list wins. Include items such as, a toothpick, a trash bag, cartoon from the newspaper and a rubber band. Be sure to ask your neighbors to participate and instruct the kids to only go to designated houses that are participating in the hunt.
Crazy Scavenger Hunt
Send kids outside to search for crazy, funny things such as a hot pink house, a bird carrying a fish, a flower in the snow and a flag flying upside down. Encourage the teams to be creative in their search, such as putting a silk flower in the snow. The team able to collect pictures of the most items on the list wins.
