Four Corners
Play music as players skate in a large circle around the rink. When the music stops, instruct all players to skate to a corner of the rink or stand in the center. Number each corner one through four. The center is the number five. When all players have chosen an area, roll a dice. Call out the number on the dice. Six is considered your choice. The players standing in the area corresponding with the number on the dice must leave the rink. Play continues until only one player is left in the rink. This person is the winner.
Pizza Box Relay
Designate a racetrack area of the rink for racers only. Other skaters can skate in the center of the track. Divide all racers into four teams. The first racer from each team must be given a stack of five empty pizza boxes. At the signal, the first racers skate around the race track carrying the empty boxes. If one box drops, he must stop skating and pick it up before continuing on. Once the predetermined number of laps have been completed, the second racer must be handed the stack of boxes and the race continues. The first team to have all racers carrying their pizza boxes across the line is the winner.
Shooting Gallery
Designate a shooting range with cones on one side of the rink. This is the only area skaters may shoot balls from. On the opposite end of the rink set up cones, each with a ball balanced on top. Skaters skate circles around the rink to pick up loose balls. They shoot the balls only from the designated shooting range, trying to hit the balls balanced on the cones on the opposite side of the rink. Everyone wins when the last ball is toppled from the cones.
Limbo
Play tropical music in the rink. Skaters line up in the center of the rink to attempt the limbo. Two volunteers hold a bar about four feet off the ground. All skaters attempt to skate under the bar without touching the bar. Players may only bend backward to get under the bar. When the bar is touched or a player bends forward, he is eliminated. Once all skaters in the line have made it under the bar, the volunteers lower the bar approximately six inches. Skaters continue to skate under the bar without touching it while bending backward. The game continues until one last skater remains who has not touched the bar.
