Barney Puzzles
Print several pictures of Barney and his friends. Cut the pictures into four or six pieces and place each puzzle in a separate bag. Give each child a bag and have her sit at a table to put the puzzle together. Award a small Barney-themed prize, such as stickers, temporary tattoos or party favors, to each child as she completes the puzzle.
Train
Have the birthday child start a Barney Train. All other children must hold on to his waist to make a train. Play Barney songs while the children sing, dance and hop around the party area. Tell the children if the birthday child hops, they must hop. If he sings, they must sing and if he jumps, they must jump. Give each child who participates in the Barney train a small prize.
Barney Eggs
Place several purple and green eggs in the middle of the room. Place one fewer egg than you have children. Play Barney songs and have the children walk around the circle. When the Barney song stops, the children must run and grab an egg. The player without an egg is out of the game. Remove an egg and keep playing. Award the last player standing with a prize, and give everyone who participated a small prize, too.
Get Down
Tell the children you are going to play Barney songs and they must dance around the party area. When you stop the music, they have to drop to the floor and be as still as possible. Each time the music stops, award a small prize to the first player down. Keep playing until each child has a chance to win.
Barney's Prize
Hide several Barney party favors in a plastic bucket filled with packing peanuts or shredded paper. Place enough favors in the bucket so each child receives at least three items. Allow one child at a time a chance to dig in the peanuts or paper to find three Barney party favors to take home as a memento of the party.
