How to Create a Scavenger Hunt for Office Products

An office scavenger hunt is a fun idea that can be played during an office party or team building exercise. For the scavenger hunt to be fair, one person, who will not be involved in the actual hunt, should be assigned to make the list. All kinds of unique twists can be added to the game, such as earning points and giving out prizes.

  Make a master list of the items each person or group is going to look for during the scavenger hunt. Put a few items on the list that are easy to find, such as copy paper or file folders, especially if you are going to play the game for points. The easy items ensure that everyone is capable of earning something.

  Include items that might be a bit more tricky to locate, like a particular color push pin or specific brand of stapler. This will help narrow down the winner.

  Type of the list on a computer and print off multiple copies so that everyone will know what to search for during the scavenger hunt.

  Pass out the list right before the game begins. Don't hand the list out too soon, or the office employees will get too much time to study the items. Make the hunt harder by adding items that are limited in quantity, or hide some of the items under desks, in the bathroom or behind doors.
