Games for Winter Birthday Sleepovers for Teen Girls

A winter sleepover is a perfect idea when planning a birthday party for teen girls on a wintry weekend. Create a few winter sleepover games to keep the girls busy and prevent boredom during long hours of being stuck indoors. Entice the teens to play along by awarding winter-themed prizes, such as snow globes or boxes of hot chocolate, to game winners.
  1. Snowball Fight

    • Divide the teen girls into two teams and hang a sheet in the middle of the room. Hang the sheet at about eye level for all the girls. Inflate 30 white balloons and place 15 balloons on each side of the sheet. When you say, "Snowball fight," the girls must begin tossing the "snowballs" (white balloons) over the sheet to the other side. The object of the game is to have fewer "snowballs" on your side of the sheet than on the other side of the sheet when the timer goes off. Set a timer for five minutes (or as long as the teens would like to play). When the timer goes off, the team with the fewer "snowballs" on their side wins the snowball fight.

    Winter Animal Charades

    • Have the teens play a game of animal charades using animals that enjoy the winter. Write animal names, such as a penguin, Siberian tiger, polar bear, Arctic hare (rabbit) and a seal, on small slips of paper and place them in a bowl. Divide the teen girls into teams and have one teen from one team draw first. She must draw a slip of paper and try to act out the animal for her teammates. If her teammates guess correctly in two minutes, they earn a point. The first team to earn five points wins the game.

    Winter Bingo

    • Make bingo cards with winter words or pictures, such as a snowman, penguin, snowflake, blanket and an ice skate. Write down the same words on small slips of paper and place them in a bowl. Give each teen girl a bingo card and foam snowflakes to use as bingo markers. Foam snowflakes are available at most craft stores and online. Call out the winter words, and the first girl to get a bingo diagonally, horizontally or vertically wins the game and a small prize.

    Snowshoes Relay Race

    • Mark a starting line and finish line about 15 feet apart. Divide the teen girls into two teams and have them line up at the starting line. Give the first player in each team line two empty shoe boxes and a pair of mittens. When you say, "Go," the first players in each line must place their feet in the snowshoes (shoe boxes) and put the mittens on. They then must race to the finish line and back. The remaining players in each line must do the same thing. The first team to finish the relay wins the game.
