Malt Balls
Pour a large bag of chocolate-covered malt balls into a bowl. Give each teen a straw and a small disposable bowl. Have all the teens sit in a circle and place the bowl of candy in the middle of the circle. Select a player to roll two dice. If the player gets a six, she must go to the center of the circle and begin using her straw to suck the candies from the large bowl to her bowl. She has to keep doing this until someone else rolls a six. Then, that player will come to the middle. After a player has a turn she is out of the game. The player with the most candies after everyone has a turn wins the game.
Lip Sync Contest
Have the teens perform individually or in groups of two or three. Tell the individuals or teams to go into separate rooms and give them 15 minutes to practice. After 15 minutes, everyone must come out and put on a lip sync performance for a group of adults or for each other. Have the adults or the other teens judge the performances and award a prize to the best, silliest, funniest and scariest performance.
Crazy Hair Makeovers
It is best to have this contest with a group of girls; however, boys can do it, too. Divide the teens into pairs and give each pair several hair accessories to use. Some ideas include cans of colored hair spray, bobby pins, hair extensions, braids, glitter hair spray, pony tails, beads, combs and hairbrushes. Tell each pair they have 30 minutes to do each other's hair as crazy as possible. After 30 minutes, each teen must model her hair. Award prizes for the best, worst, funniest, scariest and silliest hair.
Pop Star Jeopardy
Make a Jeopardy board using index cards and thumb tacks. Write questions about pop stars on the back of each index card and tack the questions face down on the board. Hang the board on the wall and write a point value on the back of each card. Have the teens take turns selecting a card from the board. If a player answers the question correctly, she earns that amount of points. The teen with the most points when all the cards are gone wins the game. You can also play this game in teams.
