Bone Drop
Make bone-shaped sugar cookies. You can also use bone-shaped dog biscuits, as the "dinosaur" bones. Have one player kneel in a chair facing the back of the chair. Place the bowl in front of him on the ground. Give the boy six "dinosaur" bones. He must try to drop the dog bones from the chair to the bowl by holding his arm out over the bowl. To make the game harder for older children, use a jar instead of a bowl. The boy who drops the most bones into the jar wins a dinosaur prize.
Dinosaur Egg Toss
Hard-boil several eggs with brown onion peels and let them cool. The eggs will turn out brown and spotted to resemble dinosaur eggs. Tell each player to select a partner and give each team a dinosaur egg. Have the teams stand 6 feet apart. When you say, "Toss," the partner with the egg must toss it to his teammate. If he catches the egg, they are still in the game. Any players who drop the egg are out of the game. The team who can toss the dinosaur egg from the farthest distance and catch it wins the game.
Find the Dinosaur
Print several pictures of dinosaurs and cut them in half. Hide the dinosaurs all over the party area. Tell the boys they have to find two pieces of a dinosaur to make a match. The first boy to find two matching dinosaur pieces wins the game. Have the others keep looking for matching pieces to win a small dinosaur party favor.
Hatch the Dinosaur Egg
Divide the boys into two teams. Inflate several dark brown balloons and place small dinosaur party favors in each balloon. Have the boys' line up at the starting line and place all the "dinosaur eggs" (balloons) at the finish line. When you say, "Race," the first players in line must run to the balloons and pop one by sitting or standing on it. Each player keeps the prize he finds inside and runs to tag the next player in line. Each boy must run and pop a balloon. The first team to finish the game wins the game and larger dinosaur prizes. All players can keep their dinosaur party favors from the balloons to take home.
