Games for Partylite

Some companies sell their products by hiring independent contractors to sell through home parties with family, friends and other clients. Partylite is one of these companies that offers candle products to customers. These parties typically involve games where guests can win Partylite prizes, as well as become more familiar with the products available.
  1. 10 Layer Gift

    • This is a variation on traditional gift-passing games. Select a candle or small votive holder to give away as the gift. Wrap this item up in at least 10 layers of different paper. The more layers, the longer the game will last. Have all the guests stand or sit in a circle and give the gift to one guest. Play music while the guests pass the gift around the circle. Randomly stop the music. Whoever is holding the gift when the music stops should unwrap the top layer. Play continues until the gift is unwrapped. The person who unwraps the last layer wins the prize.

    Guess the Scent

    • Prepare several different scented candles by placing each of them in a dark bag. The candles can be wrapped in tissue paper to avoid peeking at the color. Pass each bag around the room and have each guests smell each candle and write down which scent she think it is. The person with the most scents correct will win a prize. This game is good for introducing all of the guests to the many scents offered by Partylite.

    Word Scramble

    • Create a game sheet that lists products that Partylite has to offer to customers in scrambled letters. These products can include different scents, as well as different types of candles and candle holders. Set a time limit and have the guests try to unscramble as many of the words as possible. When time is up, read the correct answers to determine which guest had the most correct. The guest with the most unscrambled words wins.

    It's a Shame

    • When all of the guests have arrived, distribute a deck of cards among the guests. Use all of the cards, giving guests multiple cards. Draw cards from a second deck of cards one at a time. The guest who is holding the chosen card will pick a Partylite prize from the table. The guest with the next chosen card will either take a prize from the table or from a previous winner, saying, "It's a shame, but I want the gift that [so-and-so] has." When you have gone through the entire deck, the guests who are holding a gift get to keep them.
