Fun Games to Do at a Slumber Party

Exciting games at a slumber party can keep the guests entertained and prevent boredom. From a game of balloon dares to a whole house scavenger hunt, use your imagination to create memorable party games. Between the movies and popcorn, allow the guests to bond and possibly make new friends while enjoying the games. Awarding small prizes to all game winners can encourage the guests to participate in the activities.
  1. Balloon Dares

    • On a slip of paper, write several dares, such as "stand on your head for one minute and sing the chorus to your favorite song." With each dare, write a point value and place the slips of paper inside inflated balloons. Have the party guests sit in a circle. Select one player to go first and have her pop a balloon. She must do the dares on the slip of paper. If she completes the dares, she earns the points. If she does not complete the dares, she earns no points. Each player should go three times. Add up everyone's points at the end of the game. The player who has the most points wins the game.

    Cell Phone Hide-and-Seek

    • To play this game, you need a cell phone and home phone line. Select one player to be "it" and give her a cell phone. She has five minutes to hide somewhere in the house. Turn off all of the lights and tell the other party guests to start looking for her. Every two minutes the "it" player must call the home phone to give clues to her whereabouts. The person who finds the "it" player is the new "it" for the next game.

    Blindfolded Masterpieces

    • Pair the guests up and give each team a blindfold. One of them must put on the blindfold. Give the players with the blindfold a pencil and place a piece of paper in front of them. Hold up a random item, such as an apple, a tube of lipstick or a shoe. The players without the blindfolds describe the item to their blindfolded partner without telling her what the item is. The partner must draw the item on the piece of paper. After each item, take off the blindfold and see how close the drawing is to the object. If it is close, award that team a point. The players switch the blindfolds with their partners and play again. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins.

    House Scavenger Hunt

    • Divide the players into teams of three or four and give each team a scavenger list with 20 items. The items on the list should be available in the house. Examples of list items include a sheet of toilet paper, a blue shoe, a neon green shirt or an orange. The first team to find 15 of the 20 items on their list wins the game.
