Little Tots Bowling
Place 10 empty soda or water bottles in the shape of a triangle and mark a line about 5 feet away (adjust if needed). Give the preschoolers soft foam balls, volleyballs or oranges to use to try to knock the pins down. Award the children small prizes when they knock down any amount of pins. Have any child that has trouble knocking down pins move closer to them.
Musical Rocks
Purchase several smooth, clean rocks or stones and spread them around the party area. Place one fewer rock out than there are children playing the game. Play music and have the children walk around the rocks. When the music stops, the preschoolers must grab a rock. The child who does not find a rock is out of the game. Award him a small prize on his way out of the game. Remove a rock and keep playing. The last player holding a rock wins a larger prize.
Prize Hunt
Hide several items, such as stickers, small plastic party favors, wrapped candy and lollipops, around the party area. Give each child a loot bag. When you say, "Go," the preschoolers must hunt for their own prizes and put them in their bag. Watch for any children not finding anything and give them some help to make sure everyone has some prizes in their loot bag to take home.
Sniff and Touch Game
Put together a sniff and touch game for the preschoolers to test their senses. Place items, such as flowers, chocolate, perfume and a piece of apple into baby food jars. Hold your hand over the jars so the children cannot see the items and have each one smell what is in the jar. The children have to guess what is in the jar. Place items, such as a key, a clump of play dough, a hair barrette and a squishy ball inside paper bags. Have the preschoolers reach in the bag to feel the items and try to guess what the items are. Award each child a small prize for participation.
