Autograph Pillow Cases
Start the party off with an autograph pillow activity. Give each girl a plain, white pillowcase and let her write her name on it using fabric markers. The girls will use the markers to sign the other party guests' pillowcases, too. Each girl can take her pillowcase home as a party favor the next day.
Glow Hunt
Hide several glow items, such as necklaces, bracelets, sticks and shapes. Put the items under blankets, under couch cushions, under pillows and on top of ledges for the girls to find. Give each girl a small paper bag and turn off the lights. The girls will put all the glow items they find in their paper bags. The girl who finds the most glow items wins the game. Be sure the party area is clear so no one will trip in the dark.
Sleeping Princess
Create a "bed" using a sleeping bag and pillow in the middle of the party area. Let the birthday girl go first by lying down on the "bed." Have the other party guests get around her and try to make her laugh. If she can keep her eyes open and a straight face for 30 seconds, she wins a prize. The girls can make faces, tell jokes or sing to try to get her to laugh.
Paint My Nails
Invite all the girls to sit around a table and put a selection of nail polishes in the middle of the table. The birthday girl selects the first bottle and spins it. Whomever the lid points at when the bottle stops spinning has to paint one of her nails that color. After that player paints her nail, she picks another color and spins the bottle. The first girl who has all her nails painted wins the game. The other players keep playing until everyone has their nails painted. If you want to make the game last longer, let the girls do their toes as well.
