Diego Games for Children

"Go Diego Go" is an animated TV series for young children. The main character Diego has an intense love for nature and animals. When planning a Diego-themed party for your child, use your imagination to create games about animals and the outdoors. Awarding small prizes, such as plastic binoculars, animal bouncing balls, Diego-themed toys, animal stamps and stickers to all game winners will have kids ready for the next game.
  1. Backpack Charades

    • Before the party, sit with your child and create a list of several different animals that Diego rescues on his show. Write the animal names on a piece of paper and fold each piece up. Place the names in a backpack and mix them up in the bag. When the party guests are ready to play, select someone to go first. That player will draw a name out of the backpack and act as the animal. The first person who correctly guesses the animal wins a prize and gets to go next.

    Caterpillar Race

    • Divide the party guests into two teams and have each team stand in a line. Players must hold on to the waist of the teammate in front of him. Create an obstacle course with items like chairs, hula-hoops, blocks, cones and rope for the teams to run through. When you say, "Go," the teams must race through the obstacle course. If the "caterpillar" breaks and someone lets go of their teammate, they must start all over. The first team through the course wins the game.

    Feed Tuga the Turtle

    • Print a large picture of Tuga the Turtle and glue it on a cardboard box. Cut the mouth of the turtle out. Prop the box up so party guests can try to toss beanbags in the turtle's mouth. Mark a starting line about 10 to 15 feet away from the box. Give each player five green beanbags to toss. Each player will earn a small prize for each beanbag she makes in Tuga the Turtle's mouth.

    Pass the Jungle Animal

    • Have all the party guests sit in a circle and hand the birthday child a plush jungle animal. Play jungle music and tell the players to pass the animal around the circle. When the music stops, the player holding the jungle animal is out of the game. The last player remaining in the game wins the plush jungle animal. Be sure the person controlling the music cannot see the players to make the game fair.
