Guess Who I Am
Gather the names of famous people such as actors, actresses, sports players, authors and scientists. Make sure you have one name for each participant.
Type one of the names of a famous person in a Notepad document.
Highlight the name, choose the font option in the navigation bar at the top and choose a font size large enough to read when the piece of paper is taped to someone's back. You should be able to space the name so you can fit two on a page.
Print out the Notepad file. If you have two names on the sheet, cut the paper in half so there's one name on each half.
Repeat Steps 2 to 4 until you have a sheet for each guest.
As guests or participants arrive, tape one of the names to each person's back. Do not let them see the name or tell them who they are.
Explain the rules of the game after everyone arrives and has a name taped to his or her back. Tell your guests they should mix and mingle with each other. Before starting a conversation, each person in the group or pair should allow others to see the name he or she is wearing. Center the conversation around providing clues so everyone can guess the name taped to their back.
Foreign Travels
Flip through catalogs, travel magazines or search online for items residents of other countries use that Americans may not recognize.
Cut the pictures out, make copies of the items from books or print the picture from online sources.
Type the name of an item in a Notepad document. Make the font big enough to read from a distance and center it on the page, if possible. Print out the name.
Tape or glue the picture of the item on the other side of the paper with the name of the object.
Explain the rules. Tell the participants their friends have traveled to another country, where they bought and returned with each item they are presenting tonight. Have participants take turns standing in front of the group and holding up one of the pictures. Have audience members guess what the item might be, from which country it comes and how the item is used.
