Things You'll Need
Instructions
Collect a large variety of miscellaneous objects that the participants will search for. Find items that are unique enough to stand out but not too obscure that you will not be able to write any clues leading to them.
Locate a sizable area to have the scavenger hunt take place. A large park with numerous, easily identified landmarks is a good place.
Hide the items throughout the chosen location. Make sure that the items are far enough apart so that the scavenger hunt will take plenty of time. Hide some of the items in more difficult locations and write clues at the easier items to help guide participants to them.
Assign a point value to each of the items. Give the well-hidden items a higher number than the more obvious items.
Buy prizes that can be rewarded to the winners of the scavenger hunt.
Organize the participants into groups and give them a list of all the items that they need to find. Set a specific time that all groups need to be back at the starting point with as many of the items as they have found. The winning group receives the prize.
