Dunk Tank
The dunk tank is a classic way to get party guests wet at your next party. You can rent or buy a dunk tank online and at some party supply stores. Depending on the height of the children, fill the tank up approximately so all children are safe to fall in the water. This game is better for older children that know how to swim. Have one guest sit on the bar in the dunk tank and let the other party guests take turns throwing the balls at the lever. Keep throwing the balls until that guest falls into the water and then give all guests a chance to get in the dunk tank.
Body Dunk
If you have monkey bars on your outdoor play gym, play this water dunking game. If you do not have monkey bars, you can use a bar mounted between two trees. Be sure the bar is large enough to hold to two children in the air. You will need two plastic swimming pools, large enough for the children to fall in and get completely wet. Divide the party guests up into two teams and select one person from each team to go first. The first two players will hang from the monkey bars (or bar) above the plastic pools filled with water. The players must try to hang on longer than their opponent does. If a player lets go of the bars, he falls in the water and gets soaked, and the other team earns the point. The team with the most points wins the game.
Musical Swimming Pools
Place several plastic swimming pools in a circle, one less than there are party guests. Fill the swimming pools with water and play some music. All the guests will walk around the inside of the circle of pools. As the music plays, all players will keep walking around the circle. When the music stops, each player must find a swimming pool and sit down in the pool as fast as they can. The person left standing without a pool is out of the game. Take one pool out of the circle and keep playing. Play until only one player remains, which is the winner of the game.
