Lawn Obstacle Course
Create an obstacle course in your backyard. If you have the room and items, create two identical courses. Put out cones, tubes (made from oatmeal containers), chairs and any other objects to maneuver a golf ball over or under. Divide the players into two teams and mark a starting line. Give the first player on each team a golf club and golf ball. On "go," the first player in each line has to hit the golf ball around the cones, through the tubes, under a trampoline and any other obstacles you create. Once a player finishes, he runs the ball and club to the next person in each line, who then does the same thing. The first team to get all their players through the obstacle course wins the game.
Golf Ball Spoon Relay
Have all players line up at a starting line. Mark a finish line about 25 feet from the starting line. Give each player a wooden spoon and a golf ball. On "go," each player has to carry the golf ball in the wooden spoon to the finish line. Players cannot touch the ball with their hands or drop the ball. If a player drops a ball, she must go all the way back to the starting line and start over. The first player to cross the line with the golf ball on the wooden spoon wins the race.
Golf Ball Race
Mark a starting line and finish line about 25 feet apart. Give each player a pair of pantyhose, golf ball and medium-size plastic ball. Have them line up at the starting line. Each player puts the golf ball in one leg of the pantyhose and ties the pantyhose around his waist. The golf ball should be hanging between the player's legs. Put the plastic ball in front of the hanging ball. When you say, "go," each player uses his hips to swing the golf ball to hit the plastic ball toward the finish line. Players cannot use their hands to guide the golf ball or plastic ball. The first person to get their plastic ball over the finish line wins the game.
