Candy Theme Games for Children

To satisfy the sweet tooth in your child, throw her a candy-themed party. Use colorful candy decorations to create a candy theme party your child remembers for years to come. Plan several candy party games that keep the children involved in the party. Award candy prizes to the winners of each game.
  1. Pass the Candy

    • Have all children sit in a circle and give one player a chocolate bar. Play music and tell the children to pass the candy bar around the circle. When the music stops, the player holding the chocolate bar is out of the game. Keep playing until only one player remains. That player wins the chocolate bar.

    Candy Jars

    • Fill a couple of glass jars with lids with different kinds of candy. Write down the number of candies in each jar. As guests arrive to the party, have them write down how many candies they think are in each jar. After everyone has guessed, reveal the answers. The players who guessed the closest to the number of candies in each jar wins that jar. The guests can also take the candy jars home as party favors.

    Ring the Candy

    • Purchase plastic or metal rings from your local arts and craft store. Place a large sheet on the floor and place candy on the sheet. Use candy bars, small wrapped candy and large boxes of candy. Mark a standing line about 10 feet away from the sheet. Give each player three rings to toss. The player must try to throw the rings on the candy. If the player rings the candy, it is his to keep.

    Candy Walk

    • Write numbers on several sheets of paper and place them on the ground in a circle. Write down the same numbers, and cut them up and put them in a small bowl. Get a table and place several pieces of candy, wrapped candy bars and small candies on the table. Have the children stand on the numbers in a circle. When the music starts, children must walk around the circle. When the music stops, each player must stand on a number. A guest draws a number out of the hat and the player standing on that number chooses a candy from the table. If you have a lot of candy, draw more than one number each time the music stops.
