Candy Bar Craze
The object of Candy Bar Craze is to write a story using at least one chocolate bar in each sentence. Players take turns writing sentences on a chalkboard, dry erase board or poster board trying to include as many various candy bar names as possible. The candy bars, such as Mr. Goodbar, PayDay, AIr Head or Baby Ruth, are then taped in the appropriate places. The player using the most candy bar names wins the game.
Candy Bar Guessing Game
The Candy Bar Guessing Game requires competitors to identify chocolate bars by definitions. One person comes up with definitions for 10 to 20 different types of chocolate bars. Examples of candy bars and definitions include, "A famous swashbuckling trio of old" for a 3 Musketeers bar and "peculiar laughter" for a Snickers bar. The definitions are called out one at a time as players try to guess which candy bar it refers to. The competitor guessing correctly receives the corresponding chocolate bar.
Candy Bar Memory Game
In the Candy Bar Memory Game, gather 30 index cards and write the names of 15 candy bars on one side of an index card. Write each candy bar's name on two separate cards for a total of 30 cards. The index cards are then placed face down at random on a table. Players choose two index cards at a time, attempting to match the candy bar names. Mismatched pairs are returned to the table. Matching pairs are kept by the appropriate person. The guest with the most pairs wins a basket of the 15 chocolate bars.
The Candy Bar Game
The Candy Bar Game calls for 30 to 40 candy bars, a set of dice and a timer. The chocolate bars are placed in the center of the table with the timer set for 10 minutes. Players take turns rolling the dice. Competitors with a roll of 7, 11 or doubles can take a candy bar from the pile or from another player. The timer determines the end of the game, with players keeping the candy bars they have earned as their prize.
