"Barbie Groovy Games"
Vivendi Games released "Barbie Groovy Games" exclusively for the Game Boy Advance system in September of 2002. "Barbie Groovy Games" is rated acceptable for girls who are at least six years old. In "Barbie Groovy Games," girls can compete against one another in a series of miniature games. The games feature Barbie, a blond character first popularized as a toy made by Mattel. Many of the games resemble other popular children's games such as checkers and tic-tac-toe, and each requires girls to master a different skill.
"Mario Kart Wii"
Nintendo released "Mario Kart Wii" only for its own Wii video game console in April of 2008. "Mario Kart Wii" is an update of the "Mario Kart" racing games for the three previous Nintendo systems, and it is rated acceptable for girls of any age. In "Mario Kart Wii," players choose from several different Nintendo characters and multiple racing locations. Girls can try out the multiplayer mode to compete against their friends in races or try and get the fastest time in a time trial.
Littlest Pet Shop Mall Madness
Hasbro is the creator of the board game Littlest Pet Shop Mall Madness, a game designed for girls age nine and older. Created for two to four players to compete at once, Littlest Pet Shop Mall Madness challenges players to reach the end of the game after having purchased at least six items for their pets. Players are given an allowance of money and tokens to help them on their way.
Miss Mary Mack
Miss Mary Mack is a two player clapping game that challenges girls to recite a song in between repeating claps and movements. Miss Mary Mack is a free game that can be played at home, on the playground, or anywhere the girls go. Girls must clap their hands, cross their arms, clap their hands again, and then clap the other player's hands three times while reciting the Miss Mary Mack chant. These motions must be repeated without mistakes until the song is completed.
