"Blair Witch" Hide and Seek
Most preteens love scary movies, so play a spooky version of hide and seek with them. Wait until after dark to play this game. This would be ideal in a big house or large yard. One girl should hide with her cell phone while everyone else looks for her in the dark. The person hiding can call or text the people looking with clues about her location.
Guess the Lyrics
Grab some of your daughter's favorite popular tunes and load them up on an MP3 player. Play snippets of songs for the girls, and then stop the music. Whoever can sing the rest of the song lyrics wins a small fun prize. Make the game harder as it goes along, stopping during verses and not just the chorus. Encourage the girls to pretend they are the performer and act out the songs with a microphone.
Kiss the Celebrity
Hang a poster of a boy the girls all think is really dreamy. Hand out tubes of brightly colored lipstick and let the girls apply it. Blindfold each girl and let her kiss the poster. Whoever is closest to the boy's mouth will win. If you don't want to use lipstick, buy lip print stickers at a party store and use those instead.
Foil or Toilet Paper Designer
Have the girls break into small teams. Give each team either a roll of aluminum foil or a roll of toilet paper. Give them a time limit and tell them they must create a very fashionable outfit with accessories out of the materials given. After they are done, have a fashion show with their outfit (they must choose a "model" from the group.) Award prizes for most creative outfits once the show is over.
