The Murder Wink Game
In the Murder Wink Game, two kids become the killers while the rest are innocent victims. First, place slips of paper in a hat or bag with two slips that read 'murderer' and the rest reading 'townsperson' on front. When they arrive at the party, ask the kids to pick a slip of paper which tells them their role in the game. The murderers attempt to ̶0;kill̶1; the other players by winking at them, which also takes them out of the game. They have to be careful because if any other player sees the wink, they can identify the killer and take them out of the game. If both killers are found, the players win; the killers win if they eliminate all the other players from the game.
You̵7;re Dead
Write the names of each player on a slip of paper before the party. Ask the kids to draw a name, giving each player an assigned victim. The point of the game is to get your victim away from the crowd to tell him, ̶0;you̵7;re dead̶1;. The victim is eliminated from the game and must hand over the name of their own victim. Keep the game going until there̵7;s only one player remaining.
Scavenger Hunt Mystery Game
Create a story ahead of time or find a murder mystery story. Once you have the story, use the clues from that story and hide them around your house. Use clues that relate to the motive, the identity of the killer and the way they killed the person. For example, hide a stethoscope, empty medication bottle and medical bag, if the killer was a doctor. Give kids a list of items to find in the house. Every time they find an item, give them another hint about the murder. The team who finds all the items first, is rewarded with the details of the story.
