Sleepover Games for Boys & Girls

Sleepovers provide hours of fun, for both girls and boys, as long as you incorporate a few games into the evening. These games are suitable for children of all ages and many are played without adult supervision. This gives you a few extra minutes for yourself and time to set up the next games or refill food bowls.
  1. Creative Smores

    • Classic smores are made with chocolate bars, graham crackers and roasted marshmallows. Give the kids additional options for toppings. Lay out bowls of chocolate peanut butter cups, fruit flavored candies, assorted chocolate bars, ice cream toppings and even sprinkles. Give the kids different types of cookies and graham crackers, including cinnamon and chocolate flavored cookies, as well as flavored marshmallows. Let the kids make their own smores, melting them in the microwave if they are old enough. Ask the kids to vote on their favorite smores.

    Ghost in the Graveyard

    • Ghost in the Graveyard is an outdoor game that features a twist on the classic game of tag. One kid becomes the ghost and can even wear a sheet with eye holes cut out. The ghost picks an area of the yard as home base and starts the game there. The ghost counts to 12, by counting off hours, chanting "One o'clock, two o'clock," When the ghost reaches 12, the children scatter and try to get back to home base, while the ghost attempts to tag them. Players shout out warnings to others, letting them know where the ghost is at any given time. The game ends when the ghost manages to tag someone before they get back to home base.

    Guess the Body Part

    • For Guess the Body Part, you need various types of cooked and raw foods. Each food should correspond to a different body part, such as wet noodles for hair, peeled grapes for eyeballs and a tomato without the skin for the heart. Put the items in plastic bags and pass them around to the kids. The children close their eyes and try to figure out what food represents certain body parts. Less squeamish kids can reach inside and touch the food.
