Fun Games for Guys & Girls

Fun games aren't just for parties. These games work at any type of gathering, including school functions, church functions and even for a group of kids hanging out at your house after school. The games are suitable for guys and girls, as well as a mixture of both sexes. The games provide a safe way for the kids to have fun and hang out with their friends. Use the games as a way to keep the kids out of trouble.
  1. Untie the String

    • Find different colors of strings or yarn and unwrap one roll. Tie the end of the roll at one end of the house and weave the string through different areas of the house, twisting it under furniture, around banisters and even under rugs. Repeat the process with the different colors of string, making sure that you wrap the string under and through the different colors. Randomly assign the kids to different teams and give each team its own color. The point of the game is to unwrap and untie the string until they reach the end of the line. Alternatively, cut the string into small pieces and tie or hide the pieces around your house and yard. The teams must find all the pieces of their colored string to win.

    Frozen Shirt

    • Gather old shirts, making sure you have one for each group of guys and girls. Soak the shirts in buckets of water until the shirts are completely saturated and then transfer the shirts to the freezer. Keep the shirts stored in the freezer overnight or until the kids are ready to play. Divide them into small groups and give each group a shirt. The teams do whatever it takes, to unfreeze the shirt. Let them use anything in the house or outside, in their attempts. The team leader must put the shirt on, to win the game. Alternatively, freeze a small item in a block of ice and make the groups defrost the blocks of ice, to remove the item first.

    Friendship Game

    • The Friendship Game works best if you have a group of kids that know each fairly well. Ask the kids to pair off in teams of two. One member of the team leaves the room, while the other answers a series of questions about their friend. Ask about the other person's favorite color, movie, their age, birth date and other random questions. Bring the players back into the room and let them answer the questions. Every time the player answered a question correctly, they get one point. Switch and ask different questions of the other teammate. Count up the correct answers again and award a winner, based on points.
