Superhero Games for Girls

Superheroes, whether from comic books, movies, television shows or novels can translate easily into interesting and unique party themes as well as party games. For a girl's party, choose female heroines such as Wonder Woman to help increase enthusiasm from the participants and leave them feeling empowered and engaged. Use the super powers from the characters for inspiration in developing the games and don't be afraid to create your own superheroes yourself.
  1. Wonder Woman

    • Create an obstacle course for the girls to conquer as Wonder Woman. Before embarking on the challenge, provide each player with a cape as well as a mask. This will help them to embrace the superhero theme and will also add an extra challenge in trying to maneuver the course with the excess clothing and accessories. Create obstacles such as large mounds to climb over, a running hose to leap past, forts to climb through and Styrofoam blocks to burst through. Have the girls progress through one at a time, keeping tracking of the amount of time it takes them. The player to successfully navigate the course in the fastest time wins.

    Hermione

    • The magical witch of the Harry Potter Book series can often be seen as a superhero due to her magical prowess and adeptness at executing magical spells. Mark a trail using masking tape around the house that leads back to the starting point. Cut the four Hogwarts house seals—Slytherin, Hufflepuff, Gryffindor and Ravenclaw—out of poster board; each should be at least 12 inches by 12 inches. Break the group into teams of three or four players each for a relay race. There should be four seals for each team. Give the first person in line at each team the four house seals. The player must travel the marked course by placing one seal on the ground, stepping on it, then placing the next seal down, picking up the first and so on, making sure they use each of the four seals. When she returns to the line, she passes on the seals to the next player. The first group to have each player navigate the relay wins.

    X-Men

    • The X-Men film series boasts many female heroines, such as Rogue, who has the power to steal other mutants' powers and Jean Grey/Phoenix, who can read minds. Place various simple items into a box, such as a cotton ball, rubber band, licorice, sponge and ear of corn. The more random and obscure the items, the more entertaining the game will be. Divide the players into teams and blindfold all them. An adult will need to judge each team. One team player at a time will reach into the box and pull out an item. She must identify the item using her other senses (and super powers). The team that successfully identifies the most items in five minutes wins the game.
