“Who’s That Girl” Game
In this pop culture IQ game, girls can act as contestants on a pop culture game show. Before the party, write the names of popular celebrities such as actresses, singers and athletes on separate pieces of paper. Assign one girl as the host of the game show and divide the remaining girls into teams. At each team’s turn, have a girl pick a name out of the pile and act like the celebrity on the piece of paper until her team guesses the correct celebrity. Each team is only given one minute to guess the name of the celebrity. Encourage the remaining team members to ask questions about the celebrity’s occupation, television and movie roles and singing career, if any. Videotape the competition so that the girls can watch it later in the sleepover.
Dress Up Game
Tell the girls to pretend that they are celebrities about to walk the carpet and they must get dressed for a big event. The catch is that they must make their outfits using toilet paper, aluminum foil, saran wrap and other household items. Give the girls 15 minutes to create their outfits and have them walk the red carpet. Afterwards, tell the girls to vote on whose outfits they think are the most creative, glamorous, wacky and any other categories that they create. Turn on music and encourage the girls to also participate in a fashion show. Don’t forget to take pictures of all of the girls in their creations.
Blind Artist Game
Divide the girls into pairs. Blindfold one girl on each team and give the other girl an object. The blindfolded girl must draw the object based on the description that her teammate gives her. Encourage the girls to give clues based on size, shape and what the object could be used for. To make it fair, give each team the same object. For a challenge, give the girls one minute to draw their objects. Reward the winning pair with goody bags.
