Forehead Guessing Game
Write down the names of several celebrities on index cards. Give each child an index card, but instruct them not to look at it. When everyone has a card, have children hold theirs up to their forehead, so that everyone else can see what it says. Instruct children to mingle in the room asking questions. Some helpful questions might be "Am I a movie star?," or "Am I currently alive?" When children correctly guess their celebrity they may put down their card.
Charades or Pictionary
Make a list of several popular movies that most of the children in the room will have already seen. Allow children to come up to the front of the room, one at a time, and try to get the others to guess the title without speaking. Similarly, you can give children movie or celeb names and have them draw out the clues without using words.
Movie Association Game
Serious movie buffs will be great at the movie association game. This game can be played at a party with a group, but is also suitable for a confined space, like a car. One child says the name of a movie- for instance, "Hannah Montana: The Movie." The next child must name an actor or actress from the movie. So the next child might say, "Miley Cyrus." Then the next child must name a different movie that actor or actress has been in--for instance, "Bolt." The game goes on until someone cannot continue. If you&'re playing with a large group, the game can be played as an elimination game, where players are "out" when they are stumped on a name.
Before They Were Stars
Go online and search for pictures of celebrities when they were young. Cut out a recent picture of each celebrity and one of them as a child or young actor. Place all photos on a board, scrambled up, and have kids guess which childhood photo corresponds to which entertainer.
