Things You'll Need
Instructions
Sponge Painting
Inflate your beach ball to its fullest capacity. Do this by placing your lips over the open plug and filling it with air. When the ball reaches full expansion, close the plug, trapping the air inside.
Place the ball inside a bowl that will support it without letting the ball roll around.
Squirt a few tablespoons of craft paint in a foam plate.
Dab a sponge shape in the craft paint.
Remove the excess paint from the sponge by blotting it on a paper towel.
Stamp the ball, centering your logo in a color section. Skip two sections up or down and add another stamp. Allow the paint to dry completely for one hour.
Move the ball around so that the painted side is facing down.
Dab the sponge shape in the paint and then apply it to the ball. Do this a few times, adding paint to different color swatches on the ball. Allow the paint to dry completely, at least an hour before playing with the ball.
Hand Prints
Put smocks on all your participants. Rub the palms of everyone&'s hands with non-toxic craft paints using a roller brush.
Inflate the beach ball. Toss the ball to the group one member at a time. As the ball is caught, painted hand prints are made on the ball.
Prop the ball up in a bowl or in a small wading pool to let it dry.
Permanent Markers
Write personal messages on beach balls using permanent markers. Use a brightly colored marker to write personal notes like, "Happy Birthday!" or "Summer Fun!"
Draw figures on the ball like stars, heart shapes or write the name of a person.
Allow the ink to dry before handling the ball too much. Three to five minutes dry time is enough for permanent ink.
