Tic Tac Toe
Prepare for the game by either finding three small balls or three beanbags. If you choose to use balls, find nine buckets or boxes. If you use beanbags, make a grid composed of nine squares, just like your typical Tic Tac Toe grid. On the day of the carnival, set up the grid or buckets on the ground, at a distance from the starting line. The player has to try and throw the balls into three buckets so that he gets three in a row, or a Tic Tac Toe. If using bean bags, he has to throw them onto the board in a row, as well. If he does get a Tic Tac Toe, he gets a prize.
Pie Throw
What better way to celebrate the end of a school term than by throwing fake pies at teachers? Prepare by filling some empty pie plates with shaving cream. Find some willing participants to stand at a distance from a starting point. Hand the player one of the faux pies, and let him aim for the teacher of his choice. The activity acts as a great stress reliever. For a twist, let the teachers aim the pies at the students. Whoever hits a teacher gets a real pie as a prize.
Go To Jail
Set up an area to become the community jail. You can use cardboard boxes and chicken wire to get that "prison house" effect. People attending the carnival can pay one ticket for you, the sheriff, to find and arrest the person they charge as having committed a crime. The criminal has to stay in the jail cell for a set amount of minutes, or he can bail himself out with a ticket. You can also make him do menial tasks while in the jail cell or make him wear a prisoner's outfit.
Fortune Teller
Assign one of your funnier teachers or staff members a position as "Fortune Teller." He can read palms, tarot cards or just stick to making stuff up about the people who come inside his booth for a reading. Decorate the inside of the booth with traditional "fortune telling" accessories, such as crystal balls, incense and tapestries.
