Instructions

      Sweet hard candy

Replace the pieces in a checker board game with candy. Count out 12 pieces of hard candy of the same color for each side, for example, 12 butterscotch versus 12 peppermints. Play checkers as normal.

      Jelly beans

Use candy to play a game of tic-tac-toe. Draw a grid with nine boxes on a piece of paper. Divide up equal amounts of candy for each player. Use wrapped candy to keep the pieces sanitary. The winner keeps the opponent's candy.

      Gum drops

Fill a glass or plastic jar with small candies such as jelly beans, candy corn or gum drops and cover the jar with a lid. Give each player a pencil and piece of paper. Have people guess how many pieces of candy are in the jar. Count up all the pieces before, or after to keep it more suspenseful. The winner is the one whose guess is closest to the actual number.

      M&M's

Play free online games with a candy theme at websites like Willy Wonka and M&M. You may need to install Shockwave or a flash player on your computer for the games to work.

      Candy bars

Create a party game using the names of candy bars. Divide the guests into teams. Hand each team a group of candy bars, markers and a poster board. The teams then work on creating a story incorporating the names of the candy bars.
Determine the winner after reading all the stories or declare everyone a winner and celebrate with candy.
