Things You'll Need
Instructions
Prepare or purchase a target. You could make this with poster board or wood, depending on how durable you would like it to be. Draw or paint your desired image. You could go with a traditional bull's eye or be creative and come up with a themed target appropriate for your planned event--perhaps the principal's photo at a school carnival.
Purchase sticky darts. With each throw they become a bit less sticky but can still be used about 20 times and each player gets three throws. Use that information to calculate how many you will need for your event.
Purchase prizes. You will want a consolation prize, an average prize, and a top prize.
Choose how and where to hang your target. Hang it on a wall or set up an easel, if outside you could use a tree. Make sure it is secure and won't fall down in the middle of the game.
Put a plastic drop cloth under the target to catch the darts that fall. This will keep them from getting dirty quite so fast, especially if you are playing outside. The darts lose their stickiness quickly if they get dirty.
Tape a line on the ground to indicate where the player must stand while throwing the darts. If playing with children, you may want to considering having different lines for each age group.
Play the game. Give each child three darts to throw at the target. If they hit the bull's eye they get a top prize. If they fail to hit the target at all, they get a consolation prize. All others receive the average prize.
