Holiday Bingo
Homemade bingo cards with 16 picture-filled squares provide an easy, chance-based holiday game. Pictures can include snowflakes, snowmen, elves, reindeer, presents, mistletoe and Santa. The caller picks picture tokens from a bag and calls out the picture. The first player to create a line across the card wins the game.
One-Hand Wrapping
Split kids into pairs for a holiday party game that involves wrapping a present. Each child may use only one hand to wrap while the other hand is tied behind his back. Working with only one-hand forces each player to cooperate with his partner. The pair that wraps the gift the fastest wins the game.
Pass the Snowball
Replace the common orange with a plastic white "snowball" ball for a kid's passing game. Players must hold the snowball under their chins and pass it around the circle without using their hands. Any player that drops or touches the ball with his hands is out. The last player left in the game wins.
Pin the Nose on the Reindeer
A chance-based game of "Pin the Tail on the Donkey" can become a holiday game if your change the tail to a nose and the donkey to a reindeer. Each blindfolded player spins around and tries to secure the tape backing on a red felt nose to the "Rudolph the Reindeer" picture.
Santa Says
This simple kid's holiday party game gives "Simon Says" a Christmas twist. One player is designated as "Santa" and the remaining players follow his instructions, but only if the command starts with the phrase, "Santa Says." Commands can include walk like a reindeer, skip like an elf and jiggle like a bowl full of jelly.
Snowman Relay Race
Relay races require enough room for players to race to the opposing side and back again. If the area is small and confined, the race will last only a few seconds and people may end up bumping into each other. The snowman relay race divides players into two or more teams.
Each relay race team member uses a spoon to take a marshmallow from a filled, snowman-shaped bowl at the start line. Players race across the room with the marshmallow-filled spoon and drop the marshmallow into an empty bowl at the end line. When the first team member gets back to the start line, the next team member takes a turn. The first team to fill their empty snowman bowl wins the game.
