Party Game Ideas for Women

How many times have you played boring "party games for women"? The games have come and gone too many times with no real joy. Try some new party game ideas if you and your friends are up for laughing action. Get away from the computer and invite a few friends over to play. Add luscious snacks, wine and dessert and top off with strong coffee.
  1. Stupid Game Party

    • Allow the guests to bring table games requiring little intelligence like Twister, Break the Ice or Candyland. Set up small game table groupings, letting the guests pick a game and select the group to play with. Twister can be hysterical for the limber. Silly hats could be required for entrance.

    Scandalous Brainstorm

    • Brainstorm slang terms for a private body part. The team with the most slang words is the winner. Split the guests into two or more teams. If you have a crowd, divide them up evenly. Separate the teams out of hearing range from each other. Provide a large writing surface and one large marker for each team. One person from each team will volunteer to be the scribe. Set a timer to go off in 5 minutes and yell, "Go!" All will yell slang terms to the scribe who will write them down as fast as possible. Keep writing words until the timer goes off. The scribe, or another volunteer, reads her team's list aloud, each team taking its turn.

    Who am I?

    • Collect a list of famous women in herstory, film, art, literature or politics. Make sure to have at least one name per guest. Use dynamic characters like the Queen of Sheba or Barbarella. Write the names on index cards, one name per card. Have each guest randomly select one name and tape it to another guest's forehead or back. Depending on how goofy the women are, the forehead tends to get more laughs. Tell the guests to mingle into pairs. The object of the game is to guess who you are by asking questions of the other person. Take turns in that pair until both figure out who they are.

    Want Ad Game

    • This game is similar to the classic: Mad Libs. Each guest writes a "want ad" for something imaginary or real that they could sell. Unbeknownst to them, they are going to be asked to substitute the name of their husband or lover for that item in the advertisement. Tell the guests to write the ad to include positive as well as negative attributes, such as, "Couch is still good, but the stuffing needs replacing." Another version of this game requires the guests to pick a piece of furniture, then list five reasons for liking or disliking that item. When either version is complete, tell the guests to substitute the name of their husband or lover for the furniture item. Each guest reads her ad or list aloud.

    Dress-up Race

    • A favorite memory of childhood is dressing up. Enjoy it again by being in a dress-up race. The object of the game is to dress in one new, complete outfit selected from a box in front of each team. The team that dresses fastest, wins. Accumulate a variety of articles of clothing, for men or women. The guests can bring clothing, too. Separate the clothing into two cartons, one for each team. Form two teams and make a line with one carton at the head of each. The host will call for the start. The first woman on each team rushes to the box and tosses on a new outfit over her clothes. She runs to the back of the line. Each woman follows suit until her team is all dressed up. The first team to accomplish this yells, "Winner."
