Adult Fiesta Party Games

Ole! Everyone loves a fiesta party with lots of colorful decorations, ethnic food and lively music. Add even more fun to an adult fiesta party by incorporating games that will keep the crowd entertained. Keep your guest list in mind when deciding on the best games to play to ensure everyone is able to participate.
  1. Pinata

    • Hitting the pinata may be more associated with a kid's party, but it can be lots of fun and totally appropriate for an adult party if the pinata is stocked with adult goodies. Pinatas add a dash of fun and whimsy to the party atmosphere and can double as decorative elements. For an adult fiesta party, you can stuff your pinata with plastic mini liquor bottles, lotto scratch-off tickets and gourmet food treats to make the game more enticing to your adult guests.

To play, blindfold guests one at a time, spin them round and let them have a whack at splitting open the pinata. Make sure you have an open area with lots of room to play. You can hang the pinata so that it can be controlled by someone pulling a string to make it lower and higher for an extra challenge. Enjoy some laughs with the group as the participants swing and miss the target.

    Limbo

    • Limbo is a great ice-breaker to play with a large group at a fiesta party. The lively music and dance atmosphere of the game gets everyone in a celebratory mood. Designate two people to be the limbo pole holders, or purchase a limbo bar that has cut-out notches and a stand for quick and easy play. Line up the contestants and challenge them to see how low they can go. You can award a fun and festive prize to the best limbo player of your group.

    Margarita Mix-off

    • Margaritas often are an integral part of adult fiesta parties. Many people have their own special margarita recipe, so why not let your guests show off their drink slinging skills by creating a contest and letting guests judge who has the winning concoction.

To do this, ascertain ahead of time how many people want to participate in the challenge and set up a small station for each person. Have them bring their own ingredients, but supply the essentials like ice and glasses. Have participants whip up their special brew, and pass it along to guests. Supply the guests with an index card and ask them to vote for their favorite drink. You can award a special prize to the bartender with the best margarita skills. You also can tweak this idea to have a "salsa showdown" or "guacamole challenge" if that would better suit your crowd.
