John Deere Party Games

The distinct green color of John Deere tractors is a favorite with many youngsters. Whether they love the color, the tractors, or farms in general, the John Deere theme works well for a kids' party. Incorporate the John Deere and farm theme throughout all of the party aspects to make the party a hit. John Deere games keep young guests entertained during the party.
  1. Tractor Races

    • John Deere tractor races keep kids moving. If you have access to at least two kids' pedal tractors, set up a race area. Two kids at a time go head-to-head to see who can pedal faster. Set up an obstacle course that the kids must maneuver while pedaling on the tractors.

If you don't have access to child-sized ride-on tractors, use toy tractor models. Let the kids push the tractors through an obstacle course. Another option is to have each child give his tractor a good push on a flat surface. The child whose tractor goes the longest distance wins.

    Farmer Relay

    • This party game ties in the overall farm theme to expand on the game options. Divide the players into two teams. Each team needs a farmer's outfit. Large overalls, a flannel shirt, work boots and a cowboy hat work well. The first player from each team puts on one of the farmer costumes. She races down to a cone at the opposite end and back to the starting line where she takes off the costume. The next person then puts on the costume and repeats the relay. The first team to have all players finish wins the relay.

    Tractor Search

    • The tractor search game, as suggested at Kids-Birthday-Party-Guide.com, lets kids use their attention to detail. Hide several John Deere tractors around the party venue. Toy tractors, stickers or clip art images are all possibilities. The kids search for the tractors, collecting any they find. The child who collects the most tractors wins. A variation is to have the kids leave the tractors in place but count them as they find them. The first child to tell you the correct number of tractors wins.

Pin the Tractor in the Field

    • This game adds a John Deere theme to the traditional Pin the Tail on the Donkey game. Decorate a piece of poster board to look like a farm field. Draw the outline of a tractor in one spot on the field. Make enough tractor cutouts so each child can have his own. Let the kids decorate their tractors and write their names on them to make them look different. Blindfold the kids one at a time, spin them around three times and have them place the tractors on the field poster. The child who gets closest to the tractor outline wins.
