Party Games for Girls Age 12

On the cusp of becoming a teenager, being a 12-year-old girl means that you're probably too old to enjoy games like Pin the Tail on the Donkey, but not old enough to stop enjoying the thrill of a slumber party and games played with your best friends. With some items found at craft stores and around the house, you can have a great time playing games perfectly suited for your age group.
  1. No Mirror Makeover

    • If you're throwing a sleepover or party, tell all your friends before they come to bring as much makeup as they have at home. The game begins after everyone's seated in a circle, with their makeup nearby. Start a timer set to five minutes and tell your friends to try and make themselves over without a mirror using the makeup set out in front of them. When the timer stops, the girls all have to put their pieces of makeup down and stop their self-makeovers. Pass a mirror around to let each girl see how well or how badly she put her makeup on. Then, vote on the girl who performed the best and the girl who performed the worst.

    Girlie Ball

    • Before you play the game, you'll need to get a large beach ball. Then, with a permanent marker, you can write on the ball, in as random or as organized an order as you like, questions that you find interesting. For instance, these questions could include "What's your favorite movie couple?" or "Who do you have a crush on?" Tell everyone to sit in a circle. Toss the ball around the circle from person to person. The first one to catch the ball has to answer the question written under her right thumb. Then, when the girl is done answering the question, she must toss the ball to another girl in the circle. The game ends whenever each girl has answered at least one question, or just when you want to move on to the next activity.

    Something's Glowing

    • If you begin to get bored during a slumber party, you can play this game if you have some glow-in-the-dark objects. Before you play the game, hide some glow sticks, glow-in-the-dark stars and similar materials under blankets and curtains, as well as behind furniture in a room with a cleared floor space. Then, on the count of three, turn off all of the lights in the room. All of the girls must try and find the glow-in-the-dark things before a timer stops.
