Funny Games for Parties

No matter what type of party you throw, you should always consider the activities and games so that you can reinvigorate the party whenever it reaches a dull moment. By playing some funny games, your party guests can share in some laughs and look back fondly at the occasion later.
  1. Shoe Shuffle

    • If you don't mind the scent of your friends' feet, then you may be able to enjoy this game. When your guests start arriving, tell them to take off their shoes near the entrance. Without anyone knowing, return to the shoes at a later moment during the party and shuffle their shoes up into a big pile. When it's about time for your guests to leave, or when you've reached a boring moment in the party, gather the guests around the pile of shoes. Divide the players into two teams and line each team up. On the count of three, the first players on each team must rush to the pile of shoes, find their shoes and put them on. Once the first player has made it back to the team, the second player must head to the pile and find her shoes. The game ends when one team---the winning team---is back in line with all of their shoes on.

    Who Am I?

    • For people who are pop culture junkies, this game will dub one person out of your group of friends as the cultural aficionado. All you'll need to play are some index cards and a bit of double-stick tape. Before your guests arrive, write on each index card (one for every player) a relatively famous figure in the world. Give each player a card when you're ready to play the game, and tape it to their heads without them seeing the names written down. The players all have to treat each other as if they are the person that's written on the card taped to their forehead. For instance, if someone wears the name "Donald Trump" on his forehead, you'd ask him, "Why do you wear your hair like that?" or "How did you become so rich?" Whoever correctly guesses the name on his index card first wins the game.

    Message Under a Plate

    • Your guests will certainly enjoy this game if they like a bit of silliness during their dinner parties. Before your guests arrive, write a strange phrase at the bottom of each of their paper dinner plates. Phrases like, "I never enjoyed ham and cheese sandwiches" or "Have you ever seen a man fly?" work well. When you're ready for dinner, have everyone look under their plates to see the phrase written down. The players then, for the entirety of dinner, try to inject these phrases into the conversation as naturally as they can. Whoever can fool the other players by using his strange phrase without getting caught wins the game.
