Turn your table into a playing board by drawing a tic-tac-toe grid using the electrical tape. The grid should look like a pound sign (#) with two vertical lines and two horizontal lines bisecting them. Space the lines at least 3 inches apart to ensure that the shot glasses fit into the grid.
Mark three shot glasses as Os and three shot glasses as Xs using the electrical tape. Fill the glasses with liquor.
Choose two players and flip a coin. Let one of the players guess heads or tails. If he guesses correctly, he can choose to be X or O. If he guess incorrectly, then the other player chooses.
X goes first by placing a shot glass on the playing board. O goes second.
The players take turns placing shot glasses on the board until one of them gets three in a row, column or diagonal. The loser must drink all of his shots on the board. If the board fills up with shot glasses and neither player wins, then it is a tie (also known as a "cat" game). In this case, both players down one of their shots.
