Things You'll Need
Instructions
Help Your Neighbor
Assign each player a number. No more than six people can play--one for each side of the die. If only four or five people are playing, ignore the higher numbers when they are rolled. If there are two or three players, allow each player to have more than one number assignment.
Distribute 10 pennies to each player as game counters. The point of the game is to be the first to get rid of your counters. Give each player a chance to roll three dice. Observe the numbers that each player rolls.
Place one of your counters into the middle each time you or another player rolls your assigned number or numbers. If a player rolls your number two or three times in a single roll, place two or three counters in the middle. If you are first to place all your pennies in the middle, you win the game.
Going to Boston
Roll all three dice on the first roll and reserve the highest number on the side. If two or more of the highest number are rolled, you may only set one die aside.
Roll the two remaining dice again and reserve the highest scoring die again, reserving only one if both die are the same. Roll the final die once.
Add the sum of all three dice and pass the dice on to other players who will repeat these steps and record their final scores. The player with the highest final score wins the round. You will play a set number of rounds and the player to win the most rounds is the winner of the game.
Beetle
Write out a chart for the players that lists which numbers correspond with each body part of the beetle; 1 will be the beetle's body, 2 its head, 3 is one leg, 4 is one eye, 5 is one antenna and 6 is the beetle's tail. The point of the game is to roll the numbers in order to gain permission to draw that beetle part onto their beetle.
Roll one die at a time to draw the parts of your beetle. The rules insist that a body must be drawn before the legs and tail and a head must be drawn before eyes and antennas. Add only one leg, one eye and one antenna at a time.
Allow players to be creative and you can award winners for the first to complete their beetle, as well as the most creative beetle. In the case of the most creative beetle, play will continue until all players complete their beetles.
