Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board
The object of this game is to lift a person up more easily than normal because of a chant that will call "spirits" to help. Actually the act of lifting up one person by many people is physically possible without the aid of "spirits", but you don't need to tell your guests! To play the game, every participant should surround the body of the chosen person, who will lie face up on the floor, and hold two hands beneath him or her. A chosen storyteller should tell a story about the chosen person for his or her relaxation. After the story, everybody around the person on the floor should start chanting "light as a feather, stiff as a board" repeatedly as they try to lift the person slowly off the ground. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. But in the end, just trying is fun.
Remember the Time
Make something to remember and commemorate your night by personalizing an item everyone can take home in the morning. Decorate a pillowcase with the date, host and name of the partygoer, create similar designs on t-shirts and personalize them with your name, or paint your names on an overnight bag for the next sleepover. Whatever the item, use what suits your partygoers best to really help them remember the evening.
Mirror-less Makeover
Have your guests bring their own makeup with them for this makeover. Set up all of the makeup on the table for guests to access. Set a timer for 5 minutes and have each person give herself a makeover without the aid of a mirror. The most hideous look wins.
Truth or Dare
This classic game for all ages can add fun to any party. Gather guests in a circle and pick someone to start. This person can choose anyone in the circle to pick a truth or a dare. After asking the classic question, "truth or dare" the chosen person can pick either a question that must be answered truthfully or a dare of the questioner's choice. After completing a truth or dare, the victim becomes the questioner and picks the next victim. The game continues until everyone has played.
Flashlight Tag
All you need is a flashlight and some friends for this outdoor nighttime game. Choose someone to be the "hunter" to find his or her prey with a flashlight. This person must count, while eyes are shut, to 60, allowing the other players time to hide outside, preferably in a backyard. The object of the game is for the hunter to search for the other players and tag them by shining the flashlight on the victims and saying their names aloud. After all players are caught, the game ends and the first person caught becomes the hunter. Add more difficulty to the game by adding a safe base or a rescuer to the game who can save a person on the base and hide without fear of being caught for 30 seconds.
