"Pass the Purse" is a fun variation on the traditional game "Hot Potato." This game is a great activity for any ladies' get-together, from girls' sleepovers to bridal showers. All you need is a simple purse, but you can liven up the game by decorating the purse in a variety of fashions. If you'll be playing the game at a theme party, decorate the purse according to the theme. A purse decorated with the bride and groom in mind will be a perfect game piece for any bridal shower.

  Fill the purse with various prizes before the party begins. You can include any type of prize from small party favors to gift cards for the hottest boutique.

  Instruct players to assemble in a circle on the floor.

  Start the music. Any type of music will do, but it's fun to stick with music that complements the theme of the party.

  Pass the purse from player to player while the music plays.

  Stop the music at any random time.

  Eliminate the player who is holding the purse when the music stops. This person can take charge of the music player or simply observe until the end of the game.

  Restart the music and continue the game as above, eliminating players one-by-one until only one player remains. This person is the winner of the game.

  Award the purse and its contents to the winner of the game. You can also provide prizes to all game participants if you wish.
