Cranium
Break out this boardgame and divide into teams. From there, you and your guests will take a journey through the brain. Your team's goal is to be the first to make it around the board. To get there, you'll to draw, act out clues, sculpt clay, spell words backward and perform a variety of other fun tasks. Solve the clues along the way to get to Cranium Central, where you'll perform your final task to win the game.
Catch Phrase
Catch Phrase will require your guests to use their brains and their vocabulary. You'll need at least two teams. The plastic prompter that comes with this game will display one word at a time. The person with the prompter will use words, gestures and any other clue they can to make his or her team guess the word. But you can't use the word itself. Once a team correctly guesses, the clue-giver passes the prompter to the next team. It's a race against the clock so you don't want your team to get caught with the prompter when the buzzer goes off.
Guesstures
Imagine the traditional game of charades, take it up a few notches, and you've got Guesstures. Divide your guests into two teams, and let the acting begin. You'll draw four cards that each have two words on them--one easy and one difficult. Your team's actor will choose a word to act out and start the drama. Your team has a minute to guess as many of the words as they can. The more words you guess, the more points you'll score.
Taboo
If your guests like Catch Phrase, they'll love Taboo. The goal is the same, but in Taboo, the rules are a little tougher. Your team must try to guess the correct word, but the clue giver can't use the word in question or five other words listed on the card as clues. Your team must guess as many words as possible in the allotted time to gain points. Be careful though--the other team is listening. If you mess up and use words you shouldn't, your team will lose points.
